I attended the paper making class in October and it was wonderful! My only wish was that it had been longer! NOW, the class in January will be 2 days- Yahoo!

Susan O'Malley is a wonderful, generous teacher who shares not only her years of experimenting and perfecting the art of papermaking , but endless hours of prep, collecting & set up.

I highly reccomend this class & Susan O'Malley and encourage anyone interested in paper to give it a try!!

Do you still have room for 2 adults at the Jan. 25/26 paper making workshop?
If so, I'd like to register both my husband, Jim, and myself.
Please send details.

Beautiful oyster mushrooms from the 10/27 workshop at One Island have emerged and are full trumpets for Thanksgiving! It is fascinating to see how they emerge from the end of a hollow straw and them become full sized stalks and heads. Thanks Zach! Interestingly, some shiitake done Sept 2013 - over a year ago - are just starting to emerge, so, be patient!

It was a joy to attend Andrea Pro's print workshop at wonderful One Island last weekend. What could be sweeter than entering the creative, carving process following a stunning meditation in the arms of a Medicine Wheel, where Andrea led us to engage our senses as the way to open our connection with Mother Earth. The works of art that followed were stunning and a tribute to our teacher's talent...and encouragement, in addition to the Spirit of Gaia which whom we communicated. Mahalo nui loa, Andrea and Marcy!!!

Thank you for hosting the print making workshop. It was exciting for me to try another art form.
I would like to visit this Wednesday, Feb 6. I am CFO and in charge of class logistics for Wisdom University (now expanding into Ubiquity University) and we place our one-week learning Intensives very carefully around the world - blending intellectual work with experiential work. We would like to have more of our classes at places such as One Island where sustainable living can be part of the curriculum. Currently our students are all mature adults but by expanding into Ubiquity University we will be adding a world-wide on-line undergraduate program - periodically bringing students together at places such as yours. I have a group arriving into Kona Thursday morning and hope you will have some time to visit with me sometime Wednesday before they arrive. Please let me know what is best for you.
